CLIMATE SUMMIT IN GLASGOW: Renovation of the World Order and Russia’ Agenda
The problem of climate change and the need for a globally coordinated environmental policy have been the focus of attention of international institutions for decades already.
Russia from the outset has been very active in this area. To a certain extent, largely thanks to Moscow the issue has been put on the global agenda. During the recent exacerbation of the “cold war,” environmental topics and, broadly, sustainable development issues have given the parties in the global confrontation a channel for uninterrupted and productive communication and dialog, which have also been conducive to defusing overall tensions.
